Keeping Your Cuffs Clean

Riding your bike to work or school is good for your health, good for the environment, and fun; but it can be trouble for your pants. Your cuffs can get dirty with chain grease, or worse - your cuffs (and your shoelaces) can get caught in the chain and torn to shreds.

Thankfully, these are easy problems to solve.

To keep your pant cuffs safe, you need to keep them out of your chain. One option is to roll your cuff up to just below the knee. You could also tuck your cuff into your socks. A more comfortable option is to purchase a velcro strap for a few dollars at The BIKE SHOP. In addition to keeping your cuff clean, the reflective stripe on the strap will make you more visible to motorists and help keep you safe.

As for your shoelaces, just remember to tuck them into your shoes before you ride, and you'll stay safe and clean.
